PRO STOCK BIKE

"It really was the strangest day I've ever had in racing. Everything was nice and smooth and there weren't any issues on the bike or with anything else. I give all the credit for this unusually calm and great day to my team. They did a great job preparing the V-Rod for competition and I was ready to go without the butterflies because of it.”

– Andrew Hines after disassembling the field and getting a final-round win over Chip Ellis to post his 13th career race win and expand his points lead

"We're going to try and hit one out of the park on Sunday.” – Angelle Sampey after qualifying 8th

"Just like Angelle, we're going to be swinging for the fences tomorrow. And to be sure, we need a home run in the worst way.” – Antron Brown echoing his teammate’s baseball analogy after qualifying 11th

"I was thinking too much up there and just took a little too long staging. I had red-lit almost every round in qualifying and I was cautiously trying to stage in the perfect spot. All tracks have different rollout and I thought Vegas was a little tight. I had to do something to fix it for first round. It was a bummer for me that it took so long." – Karen Stoffer on being timed out at the start before racing Sampey in the opening round

“Of course, I was a little anxious and left too early." – Sampey on her redlight start against Chip Ellis in round two

"I'm pretty bummed right now.” – Brown after losing to a round-one holeshot by Peggy Llewellyn

"Matt was just doing what he does, but I got out of my process completely. I waited longer than normal to stage and I shouldn't do that." – Llewellyn on losing to a holeshot by Matt Smith in round two after a brief starting-line “burndown”

“Yes I would have liked to have gone a few more rounds, but all-in-all I guess I can't complain.” – Smith after falling in the semis to championship rival Hines

“We've never been crazy about the second (Countdown) cutdown, and if it hadn't happened we'd be up by 90 points or so. But as it turns out we have the exact same lead going into the final race as we did a year ago. This time I'm not going to go in there and blow it in the first round like I did last year and have to sweat out what other people do for us to win. We want to keep control in our own hands.” – Hines showing determination to win his fourth-straight championship in convincing form
