Coming into his final event in the Rolling Thunder Junior Dragster, Nick Mugridge was just ahead in the points and looking for his second national title. As it turned out, Anna Stanley pushed him all the way to the final round where the pair met with the championship on the line, Anna’s +0.042 9.152 being not quite enough to keep ahead of Mugridge’s +0.009 7.989. Next year Nick’s father Tim takes over the driving chores in a Super Modified, whilst Mugridge Jnr acts as crewchief.
