When it came the finals it was the two former Fast Four competitors both on nitro and extremely fast light dragster. Jeff Mamer (whose whole family races) in his dragster called the “Sidewinder” was against “Animal Control” of D L King. Both nitro dragster drivers broke out but Mamer broke out by less at 2.934 to King’s 2.91.
