Making licensing runs their first time out, twins Todd and Troy (Troy drives) Cafaro are from Las Vegas. This brand new silver ’63 turbo-powered Vette really showed some potential for the near future.

Outlaw Street also provided the fans with a great show as it was also a really close final. Rich Zehring (near lane) from San Jose, who is the points leader for 2006, once again showed why by laying down a fine 7.270, 196.42 mph to narrowly defeat his toughest competitor in the class Ron Weems. Weems, who hails from Riverside, CA, ran a close second at 7.368, 189.84 mph with the Toy Factory Grand Am.

fine time of 7.588, 186.82 mph for the instant victory. He also was Low ET and Top Speed of the class. Chris Alston picked up the Saturday night bonus race with his Chevy Nova.

Usually Real Street is one tough contest but for some reason Rich Hoyle the reigning PSCA Champ in the class kept getting single passes. The final was no different as his competition, Matt Schmidt, broke and was unable to make the final call. Bert Heck in his 1982 Camaro was Low ET and Top Speed at 8.267,170.47 mph.

Hot Street was a great contest with Don Bever's trusty 1991 Ford Probe all the way from Tucson, AZ, taking home the trophy. Bevers, who also runs the car at NHRA Div 7 races in SS/S, always puts on quite a show, but Saturday night during qualifying the Ford Probe did a giant wheelstand, slightly injuring the front end of the car, but Bevers repaired it for Sunday’s race. Bevers ran unopposed as his competition broke. Jon Bundrant from Hemet, CA who could not make the final call was Low ET and Top Speed of the class at 8,697, 157.63 mph.
