Out of Professional Construction/Chuy's Restaurants was a feared Howell Brothers “Powerplay” against Central Point, Oregon's Dave Hix. These were expected to be the two quickest Transformer Fuel Altereds on the property as Hicks has run the quickest of this bunch at 5.73, 244 mph but you know Fuel Altereds. . . .

Hix's Fontana-powered Hi-Tech Trans-backed monster made a violent move towards the centerline and crossed into Howell’s lane, with Rich wisely backing out of it but still running a stout 6.07 at only 169 mph. A disappointed Dave Hix did not receive a time slip.
In the race of the night, it was two wild Fiat-bodied creations with Jeff Bennett's No Mercy versus Greg Daebelliehn and his “Fast n’ Forty.”

On the starting line Daebelliehn put a nice hole shot on Bennett, and the Fiat put out huge flames all the way to the 1,000-ft marker where he blew a head gasket and ceased the blower still setting a track record time for Transformers at 5.75, only at 218.68 mph. Bennett didn't trail by much, as he set Top Speed of the event at 250.54 mph at 5.94, but just past the finish line he got out of the groove and tapped the guard rail, tearing off the front-end wing and popping out the windshield on the black beast.
