Zehring would prove to be too tough for the Hill Billy driven by Rick Snavely as Zehring took the win light with a 7.287 e.t. to Snavely’s losing early shut off 8.147 at 145 mph. |
![]() The Borla Xtreme Street action Assad Zeinaty in his 1991 Chevrolet Camaro qualified No. 1 at 7.63 and set top speed at 190.22 mph. He got the final round win when Roger Rydell in the Mike’s Transmission blown 1967 Chevy Chevelle broke on the burn-out. |

In Calvert True Street action Lonnie Patrick, in former NHRA car owner John Fields Racing 1980 Chevy Malibu, took the win over Manuel Figeroa’s 1990 Ford Mustang. In the final, Patrick led wire to wire with an 8.416/172.36 over Figeroa’s losing 8.998 e.t.

Carl Gustafson’s 8.914 e.t. defeated his brother Craig who trailed with a 9.116 e.t. in Edelbrock Hot Street.
Other winners were Matt Schmidt (Real Street), Mike Saiki (Limited Street), Don Berstler (Wild Street), Wes Anderson (Quick Street), Doug Crumlich (Bracket One), John Child (Trophy), and Mike Nordahl (Open Comp).

The Pacific Street Car Assn. has three races left: at Las Vegas on Sept. 1-3 and then the last two at AAA Dragway at California Speedway on Oct. 6-8 and again on Nov. 3-5. The Street Car Nationals II at LVMS will be held Nov. 16-18, but no points will be awarded for that event.
