Pete Berner put his Rick Jones-built '06 Pontiac GTO into the winner's circle for the first time in IHRA. It was Berner's first win since the President's Cup Nationals of 2004. Berner ran 6.452/216.81 to defeat Robert Patrick's 6.478/217.49 driving a Mustang GT500.

Mark Thomas got his second Alcohol Funny Car win in three events, defeating Terry Munroe in the final. Thomas, a five-time IHRA World Champion, increased his points lead, while defending AFC champ Rob Atchison still hasn't won this year. He went out in the first round at Grand Bend.
"You feel bad for Rob because this is his home track," Thomas said. "But we've been down that road in Norwalk at our home track. You like to come here and do well. Rob and his group knows how to go real fast; you know they will be back and I know we have to take advantage of every chance we have to take advantage of them."
In an all Monte Carlo final, Thomas ran 5.898/243.37 to Munroe's 5.979/235.17.

Joe Aluise Jr. got some air on his way to the Top Stock win. In the final Aluise's Plymouth Belvedere ran 9.550/138.78 to defeat Paul Mercure's Camaro at 9.582/138.78.
