Top Fuel Bike was also a depauparate affair, Steve's Woollatt and Carey missing the event due to the non-arrival of parts leaving the two Harleys of Ian Turburville and Stefan Iwanowitsch to compete in the eliminator. Iwanowitsch's Dixie Hammer did enough to take back the spoils to Holland on one of his far too infrequent trips to UK championship rounds.
9.50 Bike qualifying had Andy Bird sitting on top of the pile with a
9.515 and, by the end of the eliminations, Andy Bird still sat on top of the pile, taking out
2005 champ and number two qualifier Fred Furlong in the final round to move to the head of the national points series.

Dave Jones dominated National Association of SuperTwins (NAST) Street class onboard his immaculate Stadium V-Rod with consistent low ten second passes, including the trackrecord at 10.007, suggesting a repeat series title might be on the cards.
NAST Supertwin Gas saw the surprise appearance of Jerry Collier onboard a Suzuki TL 1000; a very different ride from the screaming two strokes he usually rides, and when final round opponent John Floyd dropped off his eight second performance level (a best of 8.870) on his two stroke Yamaha, it set up a family victory celebration.
Jerry's nine year old son Scott worked his way through the Junior Drag Bike field on his 50cc replica of his father's world record setting two-stroke to join his father in the family victory presentation.
