There were three ’57 Chevys at the event, a couple of which were new to ADRL competition. Dwayne Watkins’ (above) black with flames version had a troubled weekend running a best of 5.74/79.85. Zach Barklage (right) made his ’06 ADRL debut in the family’s “Outlaw’ red ’57. His best lap of 4.094 was good for first alternate.

Pat Stoken (right lane) did his burn out prior to first round action in Pro Nitrous eliminations during the ADRL Final rounds. He lost control of the car at the top end and suffered damage to the brand new car. (left and above)

Another local racer that qualified for the Pro Extreme field was Aaron Hodges. Hodges and his dad built the chassis and the engine themselves and put the home-built car into the No. 2 qualifying spot with an impressive 4.087/178.97. (right)
