Alex Hossler set a new track record with his 4.11-second eighth-mile pass.
Just for the record, Steve Blue of Roann, IN, was the winner of the wheelstand competition when he stood his ’69 Camaro on the bumper and went 450 feet down track. Brian Ambrosini, the 2002 champ, had a mechanical failure in his ’74 AMC Gremlin, and had to settle for second place. Jerry Sipe was third and Robert Gale fourth.
