The AIRAID Intake Systems feature a computer-designed Cold Air Dam that isolates a massive 1400-cfm AIRAID Premium Filter from hot underhood air. The cold air charge is drawn through the filter and into the engine with a cross-linked high-density Polyethylene intake adaptor designed to further optimize airflow. The AIRAID engineers really did their homework, as our in-house chassis dyno measured gains of 12 horsepower and 11 lb-ft of torque on the 5.7L Hemi, while the brand new 6.4L SRT8 cranked out an additional 11 hp and 20 lb-ft of torque!
2012 also rings in the highly anticipated 3.6L Pentastar V-6 as the base engine for the Charger, Challenger, 300. With 292 horsepower, it gets even closer to closing the gap with its Hemi-powered big brothers than the previous V-6. AIRAID offers both a CAD Intake System. In dyno testing, the AIRAID system unlocks and impressive 10 hp and 14 lb-ft of torque.

The increasing popularity of push-started nostalgia cars participating in “Cacklefest” type activities has prompted noted driveline products manufacturer Mark Williams Enterprises to develop an effective new means for positively disconnecting the engine and driveline at the push of a lever. The “Cackle-Safe,” device is essentially a manually controlled splined coupler that allows the driver to disconnect the output shaft from the driveshaft and safely run the car without having to hold in the clutch pedal. One important feature of the “Cackle-Safe” is that all normal driveline couplers stay engaged and do not rotate while the engine is running.
Designed by M-W’s Bret Goethe, the prototype unit was installed on the Rice & Williams AA/FD and demonstrated at the California Hot Rod Reunion, where it generated considerable interest among “cackle car” enthusiasts. The sliding coupler is precision CNC-machined from 4140 billet steel, the output shaft and driveshaft are machined from 4340 while the bearing retainer and fork assembly are machined from billet aluminum. The output shaft and driveshaft are custom made to the length required for the motor position. Also included in the “Cackle-Safe” package is a cover for the coupler, as well as the linkage kit.
