Lightweight Small-Block Ford Harmonic Dampers

The engineers at Professional Products designed new lightweight small-block Ford Powerforce high performance street dampers for both early, 1965-'78, and late, 1979-'08, model engines. The new lightweight racing construction decreases rotating mass, providing superior performance.

These Powerforce street dampers feature bolt-in counter weights and use the same counterweights as standard units. Both can be used on internally balanced engines with the counterweight removed. They come with both 3 and 4-bolt accessory pulley bolt patterns, three sets of timing marks and engraved marks for TDC.

The early model 28 oz. damper is only 6.8 pounds, which makes it 2.7 -pounds lighter than the standard unit. The late model 50 oz. damper weighs in at 7.34 pounds also making it 2.72 pounds lighter than the original.

Keeping your power steering fluid clean and fresh will prevent costly repairs and possible replacement of the fluid pump or steering box. Like any under hood automotive system, the power steering components are under constant use while driving and are subjected to heat, dirt and other contaminants. Regular service of this system will add many years to the life of the parts by preventing premature wear. We’ve all heard the screeching of a power steering pump bearing gone bad!

The Justice Brothers have their Complete Power Steering Service kit available for use with professional automatic flushing equipment. Depending on the type of vehicle and system you have, Type A-Red, Type C-Red or Type HA-Amber would be used. Most professional repair shops offer this valuable service using Justice Brothers Flush, Fluid & Treatment which removes varnish deposits, helps prevent wear, assists in eliminating hard steering when cold and helps prevent fluid leaks.
