What I’m suggesting is, instead of televising all 23 races, NHRA went to NBC and said, we want to buy time and broadcast our 10 most popular races from our major markets. My question is, do you think doing that would mean that NHRA drag racing and the teams would reach many more viewers than they do now? Would it be worth trying?
FL: And have the guys race all the races, 13 without and 10 with television? I don’t know…. I have no idea. I've never heard that question posed, I just don't know.
Do you have any interest in being in a manager position within NHRA?
FL: No!
Have you considered getting Lucas Oil involved with sponsoring part of the IHRA program like you have with the NHRA?
FL: I’m contractually prohibited from doing that.
What about when your contract with the NHRA sportsman series is over in 2009?
FL: Hmm. I don’t know if I'd have any interest in doing that over there. If you are a drag racing fan, you probably are going to watch both of them.
You sponsor Bruce Litton’s Top Fuel car that runs with the IHRA. Have you gotten any grief since you have an IHRA Top Fuel car?
FL: I'm allowed to do that.
Speaking of the IHRA, what about your buddy Evan Knoll who is one of your sponsors on Morgan’s Top Fuel car? Is he trying to copy your business plan at the IHRA?
FL: He says he is just trying to copy what I do (laughing). He’s a great guy. What he's doing to bring recognition to the Vietnam Vets is a really good thing and they appreciate it so much. He's got the money to do it and it's a wonderful thing. He supports so many racers who probably wouldn't be able to race without his help.

Okay, last question. Your wife Charlotte has a largepresence in drag racing and seems to be a big fan. Does she have other involvement with your company aside from being your wife and Morgan’s mom?
FL: (laughing) Well, her main job is putting up with me, She is a big drag racing fan though. She has her dragster and Super Stock car and she has lots of friends in drag racing. She’s a big fan.
