:  How long were you, Farkonas and Minick together as team?

AC:   Well, I'd say that we formed the team in 1967, made it out to race very early in the season. We ran a lot of match race dates and the first race we went to of any consequence was the Super Stock Nationals in York, Pennsylvania.  We just drug our stuff over there to give it a try and we were low qualifier.  I remember (Don) Nicholson coming over, walking around our stuff looking it over and saying “ Who the f*ck are you guys?” Then I guess he remembered Pat Minick from some Super Stock racing they had done a few years back, but anyway, that's where it all started and we continued to race the Chi-Town Hustler with me as crew chief through the season of 1984. That was the last year that Frank Hawley drove as the regular driver.

: Over the course of your Chi-town career you had many drivers besides Frank Hawley and Ron Colson, who were they?

AC:   Would you like the list? The whole list? Okay, the first would be Pat Minick, then Clare Sanders, Ron Colson, Denny Savage, Russell Long, then Denny Savage came back for another year, followed by Pete Williams for two years and then Frank Hawley for several years and then after I left active participation with the team, Minick's son, Wayne, took over driving and they match raced the car for a few more years.

Rumor has it that you drove the car at least twice.

AC:   Actually I ran three match-race dates over the year when Pat wasn't available and also “Jungle” Jim Liberman drove one match race date for when Pat was recuperating from surgery.

: How many championships did you win with the Chi-Town Hustler?

AC:   Well, I know we won some IHRA ones (Ron Colson in '74 and Pete Williams in '79), but no one seems to care about that. We won the NHRA championship in '82 and '83 with Frank driving .

:  One of your championships with IHRA was with Ron Colson, I believe '74 or '75.

AC:  '74 I believe.
