Out back, you’ll find a Caltracks system--a split monoleaf spring design. From the forward spring mount to rear mount there is an adjustable traction bar that goes to both sides. The big advantage is that you can adjust the traction bar to set the preload of the spring’s rear portion to tailor it for dragstrip or street duty.

To haul the Dart down, Blue Moon went with Stainless Steel Brakes Tripower calipers mated to working against 13-in. grooved rotors

Seats use original ’68 Dart frames that are rebolstered for
more support, and reupholstered in premium leather with original pleat-pattern stitching. GSS logos are embroidered
into headrests. Any exterior/interior color combo is available.
Oasis Hurst Retro 5-spoke wheel has “Mr. Norm’s” engraved into one of the spokes. The billet Hurst logo center cap is licensed only to Blue Moon. Sticky Pirelli P-Zero rubber measures 225/45-17 up front and 285/40-17 in the rear.

Restored gauge clusters are now black-on-white. Hurst shifter comes with both auto and manual trannys. Heater block-off plate features laser etching with VIN, production sequence number and Mr. Norm’s signature. Gauges reside where the radio would go. Period-size Auto Meter tach sits above dash. Sound system and A/C are options, but they would be hidden to retain original look.

Rear wheelwells have been widened 3 inches. Shape of cutout mimics that of original Hemi Dart. Buy a car and you get a dinner with Mr. Norm.

‘Course, when you plunk down 150 grand for the base car, you also get the “Mr. Norm experience.” Blue Moon flies you down to Florida, where you get your keys from Mr. Norm himself — just like in the old days. Writing that big check usually works up a big appetite, so you and your spouse, friend or dog get to have dinner with Mr. Norm, who has some great stories about the old days. Just be on your guard in case he tries to sell you undercoating or mudflaps for your Dart. The price of the car also includes a week at Disney World or a 3-day Caribbean cruise where you get towed behind the cruise ship on a raft or innertube of your choice.

One other important detail—the Dart comes with Blue Moon’s 1-year/6000-mile warranty, whereas the originals came with a sticker that said there was no warranty.

A 10-second Hemi Dart may not be for everyone. But then again, neither was the stock slant-six version.
