Therefore I feel it’s time for the car owners and drivers of the Nostalgia Top Fuel class to take the bull by the balls and get the class righted again. Car owners, you guys need to get together. You all are very intelligent people and most of you are successful business owners; you need to work together and get the nostalgia Top Fuel class righted again.

Car owners, I know I can’t tell you how to spend your money and allocate your resources, but if something isn’t done soon, I think we might be watching the Top Fuel class slowly circling the drain. As a sport we don’t want it or need it. We need Top Fuel dragsters and the Funny Cars.

The show at Boise was great, simply great, and I know that other nostalgia shows are the same way. As a collective group we must continue to work to keep bringing on this fantastic show. Drag racing fans already know the secret of the nostalgia show, but we must also make sure the show continues, and that means one thing pure and simple… CAR COUNT. Nobody is gonna spend money to see six cars in a sixteen car field. So, I guess I am calling out the car owners who have parked their equipment to take a look inside themselves and see why their stuff is parked.

The sport needs the Top Fuel dragsters; they're essential to the success of the sport. Maybe even get together with the Funny Car guys and see how they are making it work, there were nineteen of them at Boise.

To those who say it is plain and simply the economy, I would have to say that I partially disagree. Look at all the funny cars out there and all the extreme doorcars racing across the country from ADRL, Big Dawg, and the various outlaw Pro Mod series. Has anybody priced a serious Pro Mod car and engine, or even an Extreme 10.5 car and engine combination? They don’t give this stuff away, that’s for damn sure. Yet there are a truckload of these cars racing across the country.

So, dust those dragsters off, call your posse, and get going to the races.

Since I’m on a roll pissing people off, I might as well keep going and address the “Gang in Glendora,” the NHRA. Right now the current administration at the NHRA has done a fine job of screwing up a good thing in the “Big Show”, so please, for heaven's sake, just stay away from the nostalgia racing.

Most of the racers who are involved in this sport at the nostalgia level have forgotten more about drag racing than the current administration at the NHRA will ever know. My advice to them is to stay the hell away! You are starting to screw up this part of drag racing now with your involvement. Your spoiler rule for the Funny Cars is a perfect example of that.

Do we need rules as far as safety goes? Absolutely, and those rules should be strict and stringently enforced! Safety is something the NHRA does well -- outside of sand traps, but that is another rant for later. Outside of that, back off and let these guys race.

These are my opinions just to see if anybody would notice. What do you think?
