| I asked the previous owner if the car really needed the wheelie bars. His reply..."Oh yeah, it needs them if the track is good!" Cool, I can hardly wait to hit the track and give this view to some of the racers. ;-) |
With bump spots of 7.03 and 7.05 at two of the races, I can see that in a few months you will have to be deep into the six-second range to assure yourself of qualifying for a Divisional Top Dragster race. That is so far beyond my budget, a change was required if I was going to continue displaying Trailer Toads at Divisional and National events.
We are now the owners of a 1993 Camaro with a LT-1 small block Chevy and Electronic Fuel Injection. The car has run 1.10 seconds under, but I think a more reasonable prediction is that it will be a pretty solid performer at about .8 of a second under in C/SA and D/SA. I will keep you abreast of our adventures this year.
Here is the new DRO Camaro Stocker. Just rolled it into the shop. Very clean from top to bottom. Now, if we can get a handle on the EFI fuel system we should be in for some fun.
The red dragster, “Project 4-Link” is being fitted with the 620” Ohio Crankshaft Super Series engine and will see action in local Quick 16 races, big buck brackets and NHRA and IHRA Super Comp races. My son, Andy, will be doing the driving as “Grandpa Jok” is going to try a full season of “bottom-bulb” racing.
Hope to see some of you at the races this year. Have a safe season and God Bless.![]()
