In the desert, the months of September, October, and November are a treasure chest of conditions which make writing and reporting a vibrant thing for this old racer. And this year, the weatherman has blessed many events with mild temperatures and no wind.

In mid-September Ron Ogilvie and I attended the PSCA event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This race was part of the re-shuffled schedule from the closing of Fontana in California due to noise complaints. Not everyone got the bulletin, but the show did go on.

The following weekend in Las Vegas, lots of motorsports events were being presented! These included the NASCAR Trucks at LVMS, a Barrett-Jackson custom car auction at Mandalay Bay Resort, and Super Run, a four day, two venue event held annually in Henderson (south portion of Las Vegas).

We started on Thursday night in the ‘District,’ a portion of Green Valley designated for shopping by its builder, the Greenspun Corporation.
