Phillips’ Studebaker gets new look

Former Australian National Top Doorslammer Champion Gary Phillips unveiled his refurbished Lucas Oils Studebaker last weekend. There are a few changes to the paint scheme and some more major changes to the rear end.

The Summernationals (southern hemisphere remember) was cancelled due to rain, so the team will head for the Westernationals at Perth Motorplex on Feb. 27-28.

“The Westernats is a great event and is always a good proving ground for our race cars,” said Phillips. “The West Aussies are certainly the ones to beat and the pressure will be on to serve it up to them on their home soil.” (photo courtesy Benzpress) [2/24/2010]
