Thompson gets High Speed Motorsports Nostalgia Top Fuel ride

Nostalgia Top Fuel veteran Brad Thompson will drive the High Speed Motorsports Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster for the 2010 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage season.

Thompson is a previous Nostalgia Top Fuel Champion, with California Hot Rod Reunion wins in 2005 and 2007 and a 2008 NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion win. He was the first member of the coveted 5.60 Club and is also a member of the 260 mph Club in a Top Fuel dragster. 

"I am looking forward to the 2010 season," Thompson said, "with the tremendous knowledge and combined resources of two championship teams we are setting out on our quest for another Wally."

HSMS will run the complete 2010 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Top Fuel Series along with their annual trek to Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky., which they won for the fifth time last year. Current plans call for Thompson to make his HSMS debut during a Bakersfield test session February 20-21. [1/14/2010]
