First look: Santos’ lightweight Camaro Pro Mod

As we told you last week, Cynergy Composites, based in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada, has come up with a 1969 Camaro body that weighs only 46 pounds. The first body was shipped to Pro Modified car builder Jim Salemi at G-Force Race Cars in Tonawanda, NY, who sent us this photo.

The car will be raced by Jay Santos at PMRA and ADRL events and should be ready for racing in late May. [2/2/2010]

The Midwest Super Comp Series has just announced their 2010 schedule.

May 1-2 (Joliet, Ill.); May 15 (Joliet); May 23-24 (Byron, Ill.); June 26-27 (Earlville, Iowa); July 17-18 (Cordova, Ill.); July 31-Aug. 1 (Joliet); Aug. 28-29 (Union Grove, Wisc.); and Sept. 25-26 (Byron).
