That’s Terry Rosberg in the helmet with his father, Dick. The photo was taken by Terry’s wife, also named Terry.
Last Friday night's "Freedom Drag Fest" at Rockingham had something for everybody. Track owner Steve Earwood had an action-packed show all day and evening with the "Gear Jammers" circuit, a wheelstander, extreme street cars, motorcycle stunt riders, a car show, a Christian band, fireworks and rasslin'. Not to mention two beers for five bucks.
In racing action rookie driver Terry Rosberg, Dick's son, made his competition debut after just receiving both his NHRA and IHRA Jet Dragster licenses a few weeks ago. After making over 40 license and testing runs, he lined up against Ernie Bogue's "Beast from the East" car in the first round, put a holeshot on him and got his first win on his first try. Bogue evened the score in the second round. [7/6/2009]
