Daytona to make Canadian debut

Pete Farber’s Dodge Daytona will make its debut this weekend at the Pro Mod Racing Association event at Toronto Motorsports Park.

The Garner, Mass., driver went to G-Force Race Cars in Tonowanda, NY, for the car and put in a Mike Stawicki engine from MSR Performance topped by an M5 14-71 supercharger from DMPE.

Ticket specials for IHRA Dallas event

It has been over 20 years since the IHRA held a national event in Dallas, and Wolverine Boots and Parts Plus want to welcome Nitro Jam back to Texas with special ticket deals to ease the cost to drag racing fans at the Amalie Oil Texas Nationals May 29-31 at Dallas Raceway in Crandall, Texas.

Wolverine is offering a $15 discount coupon good for Friday or Sunday available at participating Academy Sports and Outdoors stores while Parts Plus is offering a $15 discount coupon for Championship Sunday available at participating Parts Plus locations.

Sipos on the mend

The Agent was informed by Vern Christy that Wayne Sipos, whom we told you about yesterday, suffered a heart attack while at Dunn Raceway Park near Buffalo, NY, on Friday. He is reportedly back home and recovering, but it looks like the racing may be postponed this season.
