UK finals held at Santa Pod

The final event of the UK National Championships at Santa Pod Raceway, England, saw the sun burst through initially foggy skies to provide some great action and an upbeat note to end what has been a very wet and soggy season. Headliners included John Spuffard's dip into the 5.0s in the Showtime Nitro FC (the first outside of North America), which occurred in a spectacular match up with Thomas Nataas (the quickest side by side flopper match up seen outside the US and Canada) in the Pro Fuel Shootout.

Finn Risto Poutiainen struck back for the long car brigade to take the overall crown in the TFD/NFC showstopper.

At the head of the National Championships Graham Ellis took his Superbird to a first win in MSA Pro Modified. A full report and pictures, including coverage of as many of the sportsman classes as we can fit in, will follow shortly.
