The “Silly Season” marches on…

Agent 1320 hears that Kenny Bernstein, who reportedly has lost his Monster Energy drink sponsorship, could be fielding two Top Fuel cars for the 2009 season with current flopper driver Tommy Johnson driving the second car.

The Agent thinks the odds are good that when it comes right down to the wire Roger Burgess will take the necessary steps to insure at least one more year of the NHRA Pro Mod exhibition series. (Just a hunch!)

Agent 1320 hears that transplanted Californian Howard Haight, who occasionally wheels an AA/FD out of Indy, is slated to drive an IHRA-legal fuel coupe next season. The car is one formerly owned by the part time Omaha-based Hartley NHRA Top Fuel team.  (Ron Lewis photo) [9/4/2008]
