Nanook on the mend

The Agent hears from Dave Hough that the “Nanook” altered, which was damaged at the World Series of Drag Racing, is now home in Las Vegas at the chassis shop to replace a broken bottom frame rail. Now this is a museum exhibit we can really get behind

The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum in Pomona, Calif., will have a new exhibit opening Aug. 27 and running through August of 2009.

Trophy Queens, a photo exhibit honoring the glamour girls of racing, includes dozens of rare shots of models presenting racing trophies from the '50s through the '70s are images of a 19-year-old Raquel Tejada (later to become Raquel Welch) and Barbara Huffman (Barbara Eden, star of "I Dream of Jeannie"). New Canadian Top Fuel team

Agent 1320 has learned that Tim Boychuk, of Edmonton, Alberta, has rented the Paton Top Fuel car and will campaign the car at the last two IHRA and NHRA events of the 2008 season. The Senior Paton, along with Jimbo Ermalovich, will be tuning the car at these races. [8/27/2008]
