HAIRSTON, BOWMAN FORM ALLIANCE FOR PSCA COMPETITION

This weekend the PSCA California Nationals, stop number three on PSCA’s 10th Anniversary Tour, will visit Auto Club Dragway at California Speedway in Fontana. The event will mark the introduction of a new Hairston Motorsports alliance with Mike Bowman Motorsports to create the latest two-car team. Driver Clint Hairston in the family GTO is currently fourth in Hughes Performance Pro Street points and Bowman with his twin turbo Monte Carlo is currently eighth.

As team leader Jim Hairston put it, “It’ll be like looking at the data from two train wrecks, but the food service in the Bowman pits is superb…so what could go wrong?”

Mike “Showman” Bowman Motorsports is a pioneer in the heads-up world and the combined brain trust with support from turbo guru Kenny Duttweiler could put both teams in the final round. [5/15/2008]

LYNCH COMING TO U.S.

The Agent hears that Aaron Lynch, the standout Aussie racer who has driven everything from Top Doorslammer to alky floppers to Top Fuel dragsters down under, is heading to Bristol for the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. Our operative reports that Lynch will be making some test laps and NHRA licensing runs on Monday after the Bristol event in Gary Densham’s nitro flopper. [5/15/2008]
