I PROTEST!

The minimum weight for Buell motorcycles was increased by 5 pounds before the Houston event. One fan obviously didn’t like the change, yet it was the Buell of champion Matt Smith that took the win. However, the Agent applauds the signage from a Freedom of Speech point of view. [4/1/2008]

TOP FUEL NEWS: DAKINS RETURN

Agent 1320 has been told that the infamous Ohio Top Fuel brothers, Mike and Pat Dakin, could be making a return to Top Fuel racing. ROMINE’S ’79 TO BE RESURRECTED

Few remember Paul Romine’s 1979 Mustang Funny Car. It was a short-lived effort due to business issues, but the car did run at the 1980 Gatornationals. Romine had to park the car soon after that and he sold it to D.A. Santucci, who drove the car when it was known as the “Black Magic” Mustang. When Romine decided to return to AA/FC racing this year he found the body in Louisville, KY, and it will be used to make a mold for the new AA/FC that Mike Spitzer is building at his Indianapolis shop.
