No sponsor yet for Connolly; Black adding third car to Pro Stock team

Sources close to the Victor Cagnazzi Pro Stock operation have told the Agent that so far there is no major sponsor for Cagnazzi’s Pro Stock team and driver Dave Connolly. Cagnazzi is searching but no sponsor names have been mentioned. Cagnazzi’s Jeg Coughlin-driven Cobalt is solid for next season with JEG’s as the primary sponsor.

World Drag Expo switches date to ‘Sweet Weekend’

The 14th annual World Drag Expo will be held Jan. 24-25 in the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL, a northwest Chicago suburb.

"The opportunity to move the dates one weekend later was a great opportunity for us," said Laurie Silvey, "We have been promoting this new weekend all year. It may seem odd that a one weekend change would make a difference, but moving it off of the NFL football playoffs weekend to the ‘sweet weekend’ between playoffs and Super Bowl is a big feature."

The convention center swapped the expo weekend with their own annual home show since the World Drag Expo has grown larger in size to over 400 booths and 6,500 hardcore racer attendees. For much more info visit www.worlddragexpo.com [1/5/2009]

Sammy Eubanks and his band will be in the Phoenix area for all of January and February. Thursdays they are booked in Apache Junction at a place called Filly’s. January 9-10 they will be at Hardtailz at 35th and Bell Road in Phoenix. The band plays Blues, Classic Rock, and some Country.
