‘NO TEAM ORDERS!’ SAYS NHRA

After the admitted attempt to get teammate Del Worsham into the Countdown by Jeff Arend by delaying his launch at Reading, word now comes out of Glendora that NHRA does not condone or approve of any team’s attempt to advance one driver over another driver. NHRA Senior VP of Racing Operations, Graham Light, has let the teams know that such actions may result in “significant penalties” including point deductions, fines, disqualifications, and suspension.

J.R. TODD MOVING ON

The Agent has confirmed that J.R. Todd has given notice to car owner Dexter Tuttle that this will be his last season driving for him.

Rumor has it that Alan Bradshaw, who drove for the Bill Miller operation this season, may move into the seat vacated by Todd, opening up a position in the Miller camp.

No clue as to where J.R. may end up, but the Kenny Bernstein and John Force operations keep popping up in the rumor mill. (Zak Hawthorne photo) [8/28/2007]
