Columbus, Ohio. This event is the third race of the NMCA Edelbrock Drag Racing Series season. Leading the charge in BMF Pro Street is Vinny Budano, who has won the first two events of the season. Budano, who missed this event last season, will have plenty to keep him busy as he and the other top eight points finishers from 2006, vie for a shot at huge bonus bucks in the Pro Street Shootout, which pays an extra $10,000 including $5,000 to the winner. The shootout is contested during qualifying rounds Saturday and is only open to the top eight finishers of the 2006 season. (Steve Gruenwald photo) [5/31/2007]

DRO TO HAVE SAME-DAY COVERAGE OF ADRL EVENT

Stay tuned for Ian Tocher’s same-day coverage of the ADRL’s AMS Staff Leasing Summer Drags from Huntsville, AL, on Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2.

The last seven ADRL Pro Extreme events have featured seven different winners, with only one driver, 2005 ADRL world champion John Lynam, able to reach more than one final round in that span. On the Pro Nitrous side, the last nine ADRL national events have produced eight different winners, with only defending Summer Drags champion Terry
Housley able to win twice in that more than year-long span.

Also on the schedule are the Extreme 10.5 racers and Pro Extreme Motorcycles.  (Ian Tocher photo) [5/31/2007]
