2 G-FORCE PRO MODS MAKE FIVE-SECOND CLUB

Raymond Commisso and Mike Janis (shown) both joined the Five-Second Club for Pro Modified cars in March.

Commisso's '67 Camaro ran a 5.98 at 244.93 mph at the NHRA AMS Pro Mod Challenge event at Gainesville and at the same race Janis got a 5.96 at 237 mph in his Cobalt. G-Force Race Cars, which built both cars, is the only car builder to have more than one car among the first five cars into the five-second zone.

And when G-Force owner Jim Salemi isn't busy building some of the quickest and fastest Pro Mods in his Tonawanda, NY, shop, he and Mike Stawicki campaign their own NHRA-legal '67 supercharged Camaro. (Ron Lewis photos) [4/13/2007]
