ROWE, KUHNS TEAM UP

West Coast Pro Mod racers Danny Rowe and Kirk Kuhns will team up for a run at the AMS Pro Mod Challenge championship this season. Jimmy Rector again will handle the tuning of Rowe’s Gainsborough Capital ’67 Chevy Camaro along with the team’s second car. Kuhns will pilot his well-known 1941 Willys and brings Embee Performance and General Plumbing along with him as associate sponsors. The Willys will be painted to match Rowe’s in the coming weeks.
“We couldn’t be more excited,” said Rowe. “You always hear people in the racing industry talk about a ‘race team’ and the theory and reality is that you have to have more than one car providing data for the crew-chief. Look at John Force Racing for example, he has four cars running under one umbrella and is one of the most dominating teams in the sport. We’re trying to apply the same thinking to Pro Modified in the NHRA and would like to see the same kind of results. We’ve made a serious commitment to our performance in 2008 and there is no question what we’re trying to do here. Both Kirk and I are focused on winning the NHRA/AMS Pro Modified Challenge Championship and that’s the bottom line.”
