SACTO GETS NOSTALGIC TOO

Sacramento Raceway is joining in on next year’s West Coast Nostalgia Racing boom with their 27th annual “Funny Car Fever” to be held on April 12, 2008. We hear there will be an eight-car field of Nitro Funny Cars and, for the 20th year, a full CIFCA Alcohol Funny Car program.

With the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series “SoCal Shootout” scheduled for the following Spring weekend at California Dragway in Fontana, racers had better start ordering their extra parts for the upcoming busy racing season.(DRO file photo)  [12/19/2007]

OHIO CRANKSHAFT Backs
‘NO BOX NATIONALS’ at Bunker Hill

“Ohio Crankshaft No Box Nationals” is now the official name of a big money, no box race in Kokomo, IN scheduled for May 3-4, 2008. 

Ohio Crankshaft’s Scott Ray said, “We are happy to show our support for the grass roots racers.”  Allyn Neff, Triple O Promotions, said, “We want to see races that are practical and affordable for any box racers and that have a higher purse.” 

Along with having a great payout, $10,000 each day, the race is also paying money back to third round winners. There will also be a free Test & Tune on Friday May 2ndfor all pre-entered competitors. The pre-entry for this race is only $250.00 for the weekend.
