NEW MIDWEST NOSTALGIA CIRCUIT BEING ORGANIZED

The Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Car Circuit is forming to bring Cuda’s, Mustangs, Camaro’s, Firebirds, Vega’s and Monza’s from the late 1960’s and ‘70s back to the track. Based in Ohio, the group will be directed by Dennis Salzwimmer along with former Supercharged Warriors Marketing Director Micky Hale. The group currently has eight members and is looking for others who may be up to the match racing days of old with a pre-1980 Funny Car. Bookings are underway for 2008. For more information, contact Denny at akrondoughboy@hotmail.com or Micky at superchargedrat@yahoo.com. [11/1/2007]
PERSONETT TELLS TITAN & TOYOTA TOODLES

Walking the aisles at the SEMA Show, the Agent hears that Brad Personett, who earlier announced that he would be leaving NHRA Sport Compact racing, will not be driving a Toyota Scion tC next season and will not be driving for Titan Motorsports.
Personett will be moving into a Pro Mod for 2008, but no word yet on the car or team. After taking the Scion to the ADRL’s Dragstock IV in Rockingham, changing tires and winning the Extreme 10.5 class, guess he liked what he saw. (Ian Tocher photo) [11/1/2007]
