Torco Racing Fuels has renewed as presenting sponsor of the IHRA CARS RV, Marine and Motorsports Rocky Mountain Nationals June 23–25 at the recently renamed Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

“We sponsored the event in 2005. It was such a big success and we were very happy with the results,” said Evan Knoll, President/CEO of Torco Racing Fuels. “It’s a great facility, great track, with great owners, so we’re excited about the opportunity to do it again.”

“This is now our second year with Torco presenting the Rocky Mountain Nationals, and it's proving to be a very important component to one of the biggest events in Edmonton,” said Castrol Raceway President Rob Reeves. “Evan and the Torco team are truly great people, not only supporting this event, but their entire involvement with the sport.” [4-27-2006]

CAJUN TEST SESSION

During the Jegs.com Cajun SPORTSnationals last weekend at No Problem Raceway Park in Belle Rose, LA, Yancy Green was making a few test/exhibition passes, but ignition problems prevented his Wally Stroupe-built '63 Corvette to ever reach full song. The Gretna, LA-based driver said his team figured out the problem later in the week, however, and made a 6.42-second pass in preparation for the NMCA Pro Street event May 5-7, at Bowling Green, KY. Although Green has owned his ride only for about six months, he's currently awaiting delivery of a new '63 Vette from Extreme Race Cars in New Jersey. (Ian Tocher photo) [4-27-2006]
